Spooner Road Residence

This private residence in Chestnut Hill was a full gut-renovation of an existing historic house. The scope included a new multistory addition containing kitchen, family room, dining room, main bedroom, and a freestanding garage. The project included high-end fi nishes and all new modernized systems. The design changed the character of the house while maintaining historic qualities. A major focus of the design was to integrate the building within a diffi cult, yet dramatic site through landscape elements,connecting patio, and an attached greenhouse.
